dappOS launches xBubble to simplify AI with natural language

Web3 AI platform turns simple requests into finished deliverables—no prompt engineering required. Backed by $20M from Binance Labs and Sequoia China.

An AI Agent That Promises to Skip the Prompt Engineering

dappOS, a Web3 startup backed by $15.3 million from Polychain Capital, Binance Labs, Sequoia China, and other venture firms, launched xBubble in May—a product designed to eliminate the gap between what users want from AI and what they have to do to get it. Type a simple request; receive a finished deliverable. No prompt crafting, no model selection, no visible middleware.

The promise addresses what has become a persistent annoyance in enterprise AI adoption: every task seems to require users to become part-time engineers. They pick models, refine prompts, chain together tools. xBubble automates that entire sequence by packaging skills, APIs, runtime environments, and model choices into pre-tested workflows the company calls SOPs—standard operating procedures, borrowed from management parlance.

Whether it works as advertised remains an open question, but the architecture is straightforward. According to a May 19 post on Medium by the dappOS team, two components divide the labor. Bubble Engine builds and tests SOPs using training examples and iterative refinement. Bubble Pilot handles routing: it matches incoming requests to the right SOP or, when none fits, hands off to a general-purpose agent. Requests that repeatedly trigger fallback mode feed back into the Engine's development queue, creating a feedback loop the company says improves coverage over time.

In practice, a user types "create slides on Q2 revenue trends" and receives a formatted deck. Or asks for "a landing page for a SaaS product" and gets deployed HTML. The intermediate steps—model calls, API handoffs, error handling—stay hidden.

Two Modes, One Workflow

xBubble ships in two configurations, according to a May 12 press release distributed through GlobeNewswire. Bubble Computer opens sandboxed project workspaces for multi-step assignments: research reports, video production, website builds. It coordinates each phase and returns a single output. Bubble Personal, by contrast, connects to local files, browsers, applications, and calendars, executing tasks in cloud containers that self-destruct after use. The design trades convenience for a narrower attack surface, at least in theory.

At launch, the platform supported a dozen task types. Voice dictation, text-to-speech, and talking avatars sit alongside deeper research, slide and document creation, fact-checking, scheduled tasks, poster and image generation, video production, and basic website development. The range suggests ambition, though breadth often comes at the expense of depth.

The iOS app arrived on the Apple App Store in July, with version 1.0.3 released July 15. In-app purchases follow a tiered credit model: $19.99 for 100 credits, $34.99 for 200, and $159.99 for 1,000. As of September 2026, no verified Android release has appeared, a notable gap given the platform's global distribution.

"Powerful AI no longer requires users to learn AI," said Bree, chief operating officer of dappOS, in a May 13 statement to Decrypt. "We have AI learn AI, and we have AI use AI, so users don't have to." It's a clean soundbite, though the claim invites skepticism—abstraction layers often introduce new complexities even as they hide old ones.

A Crowded Field

xBubble enters a market where infrastructure for AI agents is rapidly maturing, if not yet standardized. ElizaOS offers an open-source agent operating system. Virtuals Protocol's GAME framework provides modular tooling with hosted models and plugins. Olas runs decentralized multi-agent services; the project reported 18.2 million lifetime agent transactions in a July 1 quarterly update, a number that suggests real traction even if the use cases remain opaque.

Coinbase has accelerated the category from another angle. The exchange launched Coinbase for Agents in June and ran its Base Batches 004 cohort in August, both programs explicitly designed to support agent development. That institutional backing matters, perhaps more than the founders expected when they began fundraising.

dappOS frames its edge as operational efficiency. "The user states the goal. Bubble Pilot picks the path. Bubble Engine has already built the path," the team wrote in a May 11 press release carried by Cointelegraph. The SOP architecture, they argue, delivers more predictable performance than general-purpose agents by relying on scoped applicability and tested configurations rather than user-written instructions. Whether enterprises will trust that stability enough to adopt remains the real test.

Funding has not been an obstacle. The company closed a Series A round in March 2024 at a $300 million valuation, led by Polychain with participation from Nomad Capital, IDG, Flow Traders, NGC, and Amber Group, according to an April 3, 2024, release through PR Newswire. Earlier capital came from a July 2023 seed round led by IDG Capital and Sequoia China at a $50 million valuation, and a June 2023 pre-seed from Binance Labs.

For now, xBubble represents another wager that the future of AI interfaces lies not in making tools more powerful, but in making them invisible. The jury is still out on whether users prefer that invisibility or simply want better tools they can see and control.
