INFIFORCE claims $70M in robot orders but Series A unverified

Chinese embodied AI startup touts commercial traction and Pre-A funding, but researchers find no evidence of rumored $150M Series A round as of August 2026.

INFIFORCE claims $70M in robot orders but Series A unverified

INFIFORCE Technology Group says it holds CNY 500 million in commercial robot orders, a figure the Hangzhou-based embodied AI startup has brandished since January as evidence that autonomous machines are moving from lab curiosities to real-world deployment. That's roughly $70 million worth of business, if the company's accounting holds up, spread across what INFIFORCE describes as more than 100 scenarios in over 20 cities.

What remains harder to pin down is the startup's own capital structure. Rumors of a $150 million Series A round have circulated in venture circles for months, yet no credible press release, regulatory filing, or major media report has confirmed such a round as of mid-August 2026. The last verifiable financing was a Pre-A round in March 2025 for an undisclosed sum described as "hundreds of millions of RMB," according to 36Kr project data and CVCA quarterly filings. Liding Capital led that round, joined by Hangshi Industrial Investment, Xingtai Capital, and returning backer CCV (Chuangshi Partners).

An angel round preceded it in March 2024, also with CCV. Some confusion appears to stem from name overlap: Innoforce, an entirely separate biopharma company, announced a CNY 1 billion Series A back in 2021, and secondary sources may have occasionally conflated the two companies due to name similarity, PR Newswire records show.

Still, the order-book claims offer a window into the company's ambitions. "The CNY 500 million in orders we hold is proof that the market craves intelligence, not just novelty," founder and CEO Isabella Bai said in a January 9 CES 2026 press release. INFIFORCE separately disclosed on LinkedIn in October 2025 that it had signed a single RMB 260 million contract, which the company characterized as the largest embodied-AI order on record—a claim that has not been independently verified.

Deliveries, at least in part, have begun. Gasgoo reported in February 2026 that cumulative shipments of INFIFORCE's FORCE autonomous charging robots reached 300 units just before Spring Festival. The company also said its YUANZI compact biped drew more than 100 "blind orders" on launch day, a claim reported by Gasgoo on February 5. Named customers cited in the CES release include Sinopec, Wanda, and Intime, though INFIFORCE did not disclose how many units any of them ordered or how far into deployment those contracts have progressed.

Bai's background lends some credibility to the startup's corporate sales pitch. She previously held vice president roles at Alibaba, including at DingTalk, before founding INFIFORCE in 2023, according to a Fortune China profile labeled as company-provided content. Chief Technology Officer Dr. Yizhou Wang worked on autonomous driving at NVIDIA DriveAV and Faraday Future and holds a PhD from UC Berkeley, the company said on LinkedIn. Chief Scientist Prof. Jiayu Chen is an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong, LinkedIn posts show.

Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Liu Yang told China Securities Journal in a February 14 interview that "the essence of future robot competition is the brain." He added that the company had completed "three rounds totaling hundreds of millions RMB" in financing through that date, a tally that presumably includes the angel, Pre-A, and some unannounced bridge or extension.

The technology stack centers on what INFIFORCE calls AtomBrain, a vision-language-action model it has branded Hyper-VLA, paired with a causal world model that the company says enables closed-loop learning. "Our 'Hyper-VLA' architecture gives robots the ability to think before they act," Bai said at CES. The product line spans FORCE autonomous chargers, AstroDroid humanoids powered by Jetson AGX Orin, and the YUANZI consumer biped. In April 2026, INFIFORCE relocated its X-Lab to Hangzhou's Cloud Town D7 and unveiled what it called a "global first embodied-brain training center," IT之家 reported.

Whether INFIFORCE's unverified Series A materializes or not, the startup finds itself in a crowded field. U.S. humanoid peer Figure AI raised $675 million at a $2.6 billion valuation in February 2024 from backers including Microsoft, OpenAI Startup Fund, and NVIDIA. Agility Robotics closed a $150 million Series B in April 2022. Norway's 1X raised $100 million in a Series B in January 2024, Wikipedia records show. Each of those companies is racing to prove that embodied AI can graduate from prototype to product, and none has yet delivered meaningful revenue at scale.

INFIFORCE has not disclosed whether it is actively raising capital or what valuation it might target. Searches of PR Newswire, company news pages, and investor sites turned up no evidence of a new funding announcement as of mid-August 2026. For now, the startup's story rests on the order book it claims to hold and the technology it says powers those machines. The rest remains, for the moment, unconfirmed.
