Orbital Arc is a Houston-based deep-tech spacecraft propulsion company developing the RIOT Drive (Relativistic Ion Thrust Drive) and Gas-Phase Field Effect Electric Propulsion (Gas FEEP) thrusters. The company's patent-pending ion engine uses solid naphthalene fuel instead of noble gases, delivering dramatically higher power density and fuel efficiency at a fraction of the cost of traditional Hall Effect Thrusters. Backed by Techstars and Capital Factory, Orbital Arc has completed a sub-scale physics demonstration at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and is targeting satellite constellations and interplanetary exploration missions.
