
Dmitri Dolgov is Co-CEO of Waymo, an autonomous driving technology company developing self-driving robotaxis that operate in multiple US cities.
Dolgov earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan and worked on autonomous vehicles at Toyota and Stanford's DARPA Urban Challenge team before co-founding Google's self-driving car project in 2009.
Named one of AI's 10 to Watch by IEEE Intelligent Systems in 2008, Dolgov holds over 90 patents in autonomous driving and served as Waymo's CTO before becoming Co-CEO in 2021.
Waymo raised $16 billion in February 2026 at a $126 billion valuation, with investors including Alphabet, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Silver Lake.
Waymo provides over 450,000 autonomous rides per week across six US cities and has completed over 20 million fully autonomous trips, reducing serious crashes by 90% compared to human drivers.
