Doktor Gurson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Rad AI, a pioneering generative AI company transforming radiology workflow and healthcare delivery. A serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of technology experience, he co-founded Rad AI in 2018 alongside Dr. Jeff Chang to address radiologist burnout and rising imaging volumes.
Doktor studied at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and was a Y Combinator S14 participant, shaping his entrepreneurial foundation. He previously founded and led ventures including Doblet (acquired by Alturki Holding), Lifetime Host, and Bitmule, and began his career as an engineer at NameSecure.
Doktor was an early believer in large language models for healthcare, deploying LLMs in radiology workflows as far back as 2018, well before AI became mainstream. His guiding philosophy is that AI should empower radiologists, not replace them, combining human expertise with intelligent automation for better outcomes.
Under Doktor's leadership, Rad AI has raised over $153M across multiple funding rounds from top investors including Khosla Ventures, Gradient Ventures (Google's AI fund), Advocate Health, and Atlantic Health System. The company was named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 list and has partnered with AGFA HealthCare and Google Cloud.
Rad AI's solutions are trusted by radiology practices accounting for nearly 50% of all medical imaging in the US, saving physicians significant time and reducing burnout at scale. Doktor also serves as an advisor and investor in startups including BillionToOne, GOLinks, and Dor Technologies.
