Dr. Dorian Scholz is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Energy Robotics, a pioneering AI software platform enabling autonomous inspection robots and drones for critical industrial infrastructure.

Dr. Scholz earned his Dr.-Ing. in Robotics from the Technical University of Darmstadt (2009-2015), where he also conducted research and contributed to the award-winning Team Hector robotics group. He previously held roles at TU Darmstadt and Tidepool before co-founding Energy Robotics.

With deep expertise in mobile robotics, Python, C++, and open-source development, Dr. Scholz brings rare academic rigor and hands-on engineering excellence to building production-grade robotics software at scale.

As CPO, Dr. Scholz co-built the company's hardware-agnostic AI platform from a university spin-off into a globally deployed SaaS product, raising a total of $17.9M including a $13.5M Series A led by Blue Bear Capital and Climate Investment in 2025.

Energy Robotics has completed over one million autonomous inspections across five continents, saving 32,000+ hours of hazardous human labor for clients including Shell, BP, BASF, Merck, Repsol, and E.ON.
