
Dr. Eike Gerhardt is Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at Autopoiesis Sciences, a San Francisco-based AI research lab building systems capable of autonomous scientific discovery to accelerate breakthrough research in medicine, engineering, and beyond.
Dr. Gerhardt holds a PhD in rhetoric with a focus on entrepreneurial persuasion and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and previously served as Principal at Schumpeter Ventures and as an Investment Advisor at Deutsche Bank.
Driven by a deeply personal mission after losing his father to cancer at age 12, Dr. Gerhardt believes autonomous scientific discovery will unlock the largest commercial and economic opportunity in human history.
Before Autopoiesis Sciences, Dr. Gerhardt spent his career across venture capital, M&A, and banking, studying how scientific breakthroughs get funded, commercialized, and scaled into companies and markets.
Autopoiesis Sciences raised $11M in seed funding led by Threshold Ventures, and its AI research partner Aristotle is already used by thousands of researchers at institutions including GSK, Pfizer, Stanford, MIT, Harvard, and the FDA.
