Dr. Hung-Chi Han is Co-Founder and CTO at Rhonexum, a Swiss deep-tech startup developing cryogenic electronics to unlock scalable quantum computing systems.
Dr. Han completed his PhD at EPFL, specialising in cryogenic device modelling and characterisation of advanced silicon technologies, and previously gained industry experience at semiconductor giant TSMC working on advanced nodes at cryogenic temperatures.
A published expert in cryogenic semiconductor physics and transistor modelling, Dr. Han was awarded a prestigious BRIDGE Proof of Concept fellowship by Innosuisse and the Swiss National Science Foundation, providing up to CHF 130,000 to advance his work.
Dr. Han co-founded Rhonexum in November 2025 alongside Vicente Carbon, combining expertise in cryogenic device physics, solid-state physics, and quantum electronics to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial-scale quantum deployment.
Rhonexum raised $1 million in pre-seed funding led by QDNL Participations, with support from Venture Kick and Swiss innovation programmes, and is on track to deliver its first industrial-grade cryogenic electronics product to early customers in 2026.
