
Dr. James Patrick-Evans is the Founder and CEO of RevEng.AI, a London-based cybersecurity company building foundational AI models to detect threats and vulnerabilities in compiled software without requiring access to source code.
Dr. Patrick-Evans earned his PhD in Cyber Security and AI from Royal Holloway University, conducting research in conjunction with Bundeswehr University Munich, and previously held roles at Mozilla, F-Secure, and MWR as a cybersecurity specialist.
A globally recognised expert in AI and machine learning for binary analysis, Dr. Patrick-Evans is on a mission to democratise reverse engineering by scaling capabilities traditionally limited to elite specialists through automation and AI.
Prior to RevEng.AI, he served as a Visiting Researcher at both Bundeswehr University Munich and Kings College London, bringing deep academic and industry expertise in secure software engineering and low-level threat detection.
RevEng.AI has raised $19.5M in total funding including a $15M Series A led by the NATO Innovation Fund, with backing from In-Q-Tel, Sands Capital, IQ Capital, and Episode One, and has been selected into the UKs NCSC for Startups programme and Intel Ignite 2024 cohort.
