Dr. Michael William James Glerum is Co-Founder and COO at HexSeed Technology, a deep-tech climate startup pioneering low-temperature diamond coating solutions for next-generation AI semiconductors.

Dr. Glerum holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, where his research focused on energy densification of the floating catalyst CVD process for carbon nanotube synthesis, and he brings prior hands-on experience from an earlier CVD startup.

With deep expertise in chemical vapor deposition and advanced carbon materials, Dr. Glerum bridges the gap between cutting-edge materials science and scalable engineering, a rare combination in the semiconductor thermal management space.

At HexSeed, he co-leads operations alongside CEO Mark Tandy and CTO Dr. Leonardo Santoni, driving the company through its seed raise of over 600K GBP backed by Carbon13, Net Zero Technology Centre, and Vento Ventures.

HexSeed's diamond-on-GaN coating technology, developed in collaboration with University of Bristol researchers, targets the multi-trillion-dollar AI data centre market by reducing heat-related energy losses and extending chip lifespans.
