Dr. Nicki Thompson is CEO of TRIMTECH Therapeutics, a Cambridge-based MRC LMB and UK DRI spinout pioneering targeted protein degradation therapies for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Nicki holds a degree from the University of London and brings over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology R&D across senior scientific and commercial leadership roles.

Nicki previously served as VP and Global Head of External Drug Discovery at F. Hoffmann-La Roche and as Senior Director of Business Development at GSK, giving her deep expertise across both big pharma and biotech.

She was founding CEO of Amphista Therapeutics, steering it through Series A and B financings and forging major collaborations with BMS and Merck KGaA, and served as CBO then Chair of the Board at Nanna Therapeutics, which was acquired by Astellas Pharma.

Under Nicki's leadership, TRIMTECH has raised a total $47M seed round backed by JJDC, BGF, Pfizer Ventures, Eli Lilly, M Ventures, and Cambridge Innovation Capital, and won Start-up of the Year at the 2026 Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards.
