Dr. Ravit Netzer is Co-Founder and CEO of Scala Biodesign, a Tel Aviv-based computational protein design company transforming how pharma and biotech organizations engineer proteins for medicines, vaccines, and industrial applications.

Dr. Netzer earned her PhD at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where she and co-founder Dr. Adi Goldenzweig developed PROSS, a groundbreaking set of algorithms for redesigning natural proteins that became the state-of-the-art in academic protein engineering.

Dr. Netzer recognized that even the most sophisticated R&D organizations were held back by the complexity of protein engineering, and set out to replace years of trial-and-error lab work with a scalable, AI-driven platform.

Under her leadership, Scala Biodesign raised $21.5M in total funding, including a $16M Series A led by Grove Ventures, and has partnered with nine of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies, including Boehringer Ingelheim.

Scala's flagship platform ScalaOS has been validated across 80+ laboratories worldwide and 150+ scientific publications, enabling one-shot protein optimization across biologics, antibodies, enzymes, vaccines, and gene therapy applications.
