Dr. Rufus Mitchell-Heggs

Dr. Rufus Mitchell-Heggs is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Connectome Health, a NeuroTech startup pioneering personalised, continuous brain health monitoring using clinical-grade neuroimaging tools.
Rufus completed a joint PhD in computational neuroscience between the University of Edinburgh and Imperial College London, and holds a Master's in Neurotechnology from Imperial College, with earlier experience at Executive Insight advising top-tier pharma clients.
With 10 published research papers and 75 citations, Rufus brings deep expertise in the neurobiological basis of memory and social cognition, and is personally driven to shift neuroscience toward prevention and everyday brain health.
Prior to co-founding Connectome, Rufus conducted academic research at the University of Edinburgh and Imperial College London, focusing on how memory and social cognition become disrupted in neurological diseases and disorders.
Connectome Health closed a $2M pre-Seed round led by Redstone, with backing from Concept Ventures and Octopus, and its technology rooted in the LUCID study at Imperial College London has the potential to transform early detection of conditions like ADHD and dementia.
