Duo Ding

Dr. Duo Daniel Ding is a Co-Founder and Founding Member at Agentrys, an AI startup pioneering Agentic Design Automation (ADA) to transform how chips are designed through self-improving AI agents.
Duo earned his M.S.E. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where he was introduced to Electronic Design Automation in 2007 under Prof. David Z. Pan, winning the ACM SIGDA Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award in EDA in 2013.
With 20 years of silicon experience and over 50 publications spanning AI in EDA and multi-agent systems, Duo is a recognized authority in applying GenAI, LLM reasoning, and MCP-connected agents to chip design challenges.
Prior to Agentrys, Duo served as Senior Staff Software Engineer at Samsung Austin Research Center (2017-2024), Principal Hardware Engineer at Oracle, and held roles at Mentor Graphics and Lightspeed Logic, accumulating deep expertise across the full EDA stack.
Agentrys has raised $24.5M in funding and its platform has autonomously completed a 32-bit CPU design from specification to sign-off-clean GDS layout without human intervention, setting a new benchmark for autonomous chip design.
