Eka Himawan

Eka Himawan, known as Gusmantara Ekamukti Himawan, is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Xurya, Indonesia's pioneering rooftop solar rental company transforming the commercial and industrial energy landscape.
Eka holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and built a career in finance as a research associate at Independence Capital Asset Partners and later as an investment banker at Barclays before turning to entrepreneurship.
A serial entrepreneur with a rare blend of engineering and finance expertise, Eka previously co-founded Bilna in 2012, an e-commerce platform for the mom and baby segment that merged with Moxy to become Orami.
Under Eka's leadership, Xurya pioneered Indonesia's first zero-capex rooftop solar rental model and became the first to deploy IoT for remote solar operations and machine learning in solar management in the country.
Xurya has raised over $90 million in total funding, developed more than 170 solar projects across Indonesia, avoided 152,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, and created more than 1,600 green jobs.
