Elias Hirschbichler

Elias Hirschbichler is the Late Co-Founder, CFO and CMO at fibionic GmbH, an Austrian DeepTech startup pioneering nature-inspired fiber placement technology for lightweight composite manufacturing. He joined the company in 2024 to lead investor relations, finance, marketing, and digitalization, helping scale the business toward industrial series production.
Elias studied at Leopold-Franzens Universitat Innsbruck in Austria, building expertise in finance, marketing, and business development before stepping into the deeptech manufacturing space. His background in digitalization and investor relations positioned him as the strategic and commercial force behind fibionic's growth.
Elias champions the belief that nature-inspired engineering can redefine how industries produce lightweight components, famously stating that fibionic enables "fast, sustainable and cost-efficient production of extremely high-performing, ultra-light products." His focus on digitalization and commercialization brings critical scale-up capability to a highly technical founding team.
At fibionic, Elias oversees investor relations, finance, marketing, and digitalization, playing a central role in closing the company's 3 million euro Seed round led by Redstone, Euregio+, Caesar, and Leap435. He also serves as a key spokesperson and public face of the company, representing fibionic at industry events including the JEC World Startup Booster 2026 as a finalist.
fibionic's patented FFP technology can reduce material use by up to 60% and lower product weight by up to 50%, with cycle times as low as one minute per component. The company has already partnered with Italian bicycle saddle manufacturer Selle Italia for large-scale series production, targeting automotive, aerospace, robotics, and defense markets.
