Elias Sørensen is Co-Founder and CTO at Velatir, a Danish AI governance startup helping European enterprises monitor, control, and audit their AI usage in real time.

Elias is a software engineer from Odense with deep roots in the Danish tech ecosystem, having previously served as Team Lead for Scanner and Crawler Components at Usercentrics (formerly Cookiebot), one of Odense's most notable software success stories.

As CTO, Elias architects the technical backbone of Velatir's platform, and has publicly led sessions on building accurate AI inventories and closing the gap between perceived and actual AI footprints within organizations.

Velatir raised a pre-seed round of approximately 1.3M EUR in February 2026, followed by a 5M EUR seed round led by Spintop Ventures and Ugly Duckling Ventures, with backing from Norrsken Evolve, NVIDIA Inception, and Microsoft for Startups.

In just seven months from launch, Velatir scaled from zero to 80 customers across six European countries and reached nearly 1M USD in annual recurring revenue, positioning itself as a leading European AI governance platform.
