Elizabeth Muller

Elizabeth Muller is Co-Founder and CEO of Deep Fission, a pioneering nuclear energy company placing small modular reactors one mile underground to deliver safe, affordable, and scalable clean power.
Elizabeth co-founded Berkeley Earth, a nonprofit providing climate data science, and Deep Isolation, a nuclear waste disposal company where she now serves as Board Chair. She studied math and International Management and spent time in France before returning to the US.
Elizabeth holds multiple patents and was recognized as a Clean Energy Rising Star by Business Insider in 2020. She teaches a Saturday morning dance class called Rhythm in Motion and is a published author.
Deep Fission raised $80M most recently (February 2026) and was selected for the DOE Reactor Pilot Program, with a pilot reactor targeting completion by July 2026. The company has announced a development pipeline representing 12.5 GW of future deployments.
Deep Fission's underground reactor design aims to cut nuclear costs by 70-80% and targets 5-7 cents per kWh electricity, addressing massive energy demand from AI data centers and advancing global clean energy transition.
