Emile Germonpre

Emile Germonpre is Co-Founder of Atomarine, a deep-tech startup building floating data center platforms cooled by seawater and powered on the platform, deployed in coastal waters to address the AI infrastructure energy crisis.
Emile pursued graduate studies in Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT, conducting research on hydrogen production, microreactor economics, and nuclear energy policy alongside leading faculty including Jacopo Buongiorno and Koroush Shirvan.
His academic work spans decentralized hydrogen production, nuclear battery cost modeling, and energy economics, giving him a rare interdisciplinary lens that bridges nuclear physics, marine engineering, and AI infrastructure.
Emile co-presented research at the 2024 International Congress on Advances in Nuclear Power Plants (ICAPP) and has published work on competitive decentralized hydrogen and microreactor capital costs, establishing him as a credible voice in next-generation energy systems.
Atomarine addresses a projected 35 to 49 gigawatt firm power shortfall by 2030 by deploying shipyard-built, location-agnostic offshore compute platforms, with a roadmap to integrate compact marine nuclear reactors for carbon-free power.
