Eric Berndt

Eric Berndt is Co-Founder and CEO of Tensr, a Y Combinator-backed startup building fully autonomous robotic factories to reshape the multi-trillion-dollar U.S. manufacturing stack.
Eric earned his M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley, where he also served as Machine Learning Team Lead for the AI Racing Tech autonomous IndyCar program at Berkeley AI Research (BAIR).
Eric led the machine learning efforts that helped AI Racing Tech race full-scale autonomous IndyCars at 160mph, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the official BAIR research blog.
Prior to Tensr, Eric helped secure over $17M in DARPA and industry sponsorship through AI Racing Tech, and gained robotics research experience at Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research and AVAmobility.
Tensr is building on-demand robotic factories capable of receiving orders and shipping finished products within 24 hours, targeting the revival of American industrial manufacturing through ground-up robotic automation.
