Eric is an academic surgeon and Chief of Surgery at AP-HP, one of Europe's largest hospital groups, and earned his MD and PhD from Universite Medecine Paris Sud.

Eric spent years confronting the clinical consequences of incomplete operative reporting firsthand, driving his conviction that surgical documentation must shift from memory-based to evidence-based records.

He founded the BOPA Innovation Chair at Paris-Saclay University in 2019, a collaborative initiative evaluating digital innovation in the operating room, and has championed surgical AI across AP-HP institutions.
