Ewan Munro

Ewan Munro is Co-Founder and CTO of Entropica Labs, a Singapore-based quantum computing software company building tools for fault-tolerant quantum error correction and algorithm development. He leads the company's technical strategy, working with the team to design and build products that bridge cutting-edge quantum science and real-world technology.
Ewan holds a PhD in Physics from the Centre for Quantum Technologies at the National University of Singapore and an MSc in Mathematical Physics from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to co-founding Entropica, he conducted research as a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at CQT Singapore and served as a Visiting Scientist at ICFO.
Ewan was an EFSG3 Fellow at Entrepreneur First in 2018, the programme through which Entropica Labs was incubated, and has contributed as a writer for the Quantum World Association. He regularly represents Entropica at major international quantum computing conferences, including Q2B Paris and the Quantum Computing Theory in Practice (QCTIP) conference.
Entropica Labs raised a US$4.7M Series A round in 2023 led by Liftt and Wavemaker Partners, with participation from SEEDS Capital, CerraCap Ventures, SUTD Venture Holdings, and Elev8 VC, bringing total funding to over $8M across three rounds. The company has collaborated with leading quantum hardware manufacturers including Rigetti Computing, IBM, and Microsoft.
Entropica Labs serves quantum hardware teams, software developers, research institutions, and enterprise clients such as BMW, operating across 4 continents with approximately 23 employees. The company is at the forefront of fault-tolerant quantum error correction software, positioning Singapore as a global hub for quantum technology.
