Fangzhou Hong

Fangzhou Hong is Co-Founder and CTO at Ropedia, a Singapore-based startup building full-stack data infrastructure for physical AI and robotics, combining portable capture hardware with proprietary AI models to collect human interaction data at scale.
Hong majored in Software Engineering at Tsinghua University before earning his PhD at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where he conducted research in 3D perception, spatial intelligence, and egocentric vision within the MMLab ecosystem.
Hong previously completed a research internship at Meta Reality Labs, contributing to foundational work in avatars, first-person perception, and human-centred spatial computing, which directly informs Ropedia's technical approach.
As CTO, Hong led the development of Ropedia's flagship Xperience-10M dataset, the largest human experience dataset for physical AI, which surpassed 2 million downloads within five days of its release on Hugging Face.
Ropedia has raised $30M in pre-A funding across two rounds and serves more than a dozen North American businesses in embodied AI and spatial intelligence, with its HOMIE wearable device now in mass production.
