Farhan Ur Rehman

Farhan Ur Rehman is Co-Founder of Definite (YC S26), an AI platform that automates regulatory reporting for banks from raw ledger data to the filed report.
Farhan studied at the University of Waterloo, where he met his co-founders, and worked as a software engineer at Meta on Instagram Reels recommendations. He went deep on machine learning and building AI agents there.
Farhan saw that the reporting software banks rely on checks formatting rather than truth, so a mis-mapped loan can pass every check. He and his team built Definite to generate and independently verify every number.
Definite was founded in 2026 with Mazin Al-Ani and Gurshabd Singh Varaich and is backed by Y Combinator. Farhan represents the company in the field, including running its booth at the Microsoft Dynamics Communities Roadshow in Toronto.
Definite turns regulatory filings that take weeks of manual work into hours for bank controllers. Its agents recompute every line from ledger records and check it against a versioned rulebook before filing.
