Fei-Fei Li

Fei-Fei Li is Co-Founder and CEO at World Labs, an AI startup building spatial intelligence models for 3D environments, and Scientific Partner at Radical Ventures. She is also Co-Director of Stanford's Human-Centered AI Institute and known as the godmother of AI for creating ImageNet.
Li earned a BA in physics from Princeton and PhD in electrical engineering from Caltech. She served as VP and Chief Scientist of AI/ML at Google Cloud from 2017 to 2018 and joined Stanford faculty in 2009.
Li created ImageNet, the foundational dataset that catalyzed the deep learning revolution and modern computer vision. She co-founded nonprofit AI4ALL in 2017 to increase diversity in artificial intelligence and has been named Time 100 AI Most Influential People.
World Labs raised $230M in funding and achieved unicorn status within four months of founding in 2024, reaching over $1B valuation. Li joined Radical Ventures as Scientific Partner in 2023, investing in AI startups focused on robotics, healthcare, and education.
ImageNet transformed how machines understand visual data and enabled breakthroughs at Google, Facebook, and Amazon. Li has advised the Biden administration and UN on AI policy, published over 40 academic papers, and her work laid the groundwork for autonomous vehicles, facial recognition, and medical imaging applications.
