A Computer Science student at Stanford University, Felipe left to co-found Hyperplane in 2022, an AI startup serving financial institutions that Nubank later acquired in 2024, and became the first Brazilian ever selected for the prestigious Thiel Fellowship.

Felipe believes AI fundamentally collapses the information asymmetry that has long defined financial services, making sophisticated wealth management accessible to everyday Brazilians, not just the ultra-wealthy.

After the Nubank acquisition of Hyperplane, Felipe joined forces with former Nubank CTO Vitor Olivier to lead some of the bank's largest AI initiatives before co-founding Decade together.

Decade emerged from stealth in August 2026 with an $85M seed round backed by Greenoaks, Benchmark, and Diffusion, the largest seed round ever raised by a Latin American startup, targeting a market where only 7% of Brazilians can support themselves through retirement savings.
