Felipe Silva is Co-Founder and CPO at BeConfident, an AI-powered language learning platform that teaches English through WhatsApp and mobile apps. He has been programming since age 10 and grew up in the outskirts of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Felipe studied Computer Science at Universidade Federal do ABC and won the world robotics championship in 2015 in South Africa with his co-founders. He also won Wildlife Studios' hackathon creating an AR game and worked at Learning Machine, Layers Education, and University of Bradford.

Felipe and his three childhood friends bootstrapped BeConfident to profitability, generating $700K in revenue in the first nine months. The team won HackBrazil at Harvard/MIT and has attracted over 100,000 paying customers across 100+ countries.

BeConfident raised a $500K pre-seed in 2024 led by Latitud, followed by an $85M Series A in 2025 led by Prosus Ventures, reaching a valuation of $530M. The company projects $60M in revenue for 2025 and aims to reach $300M by 2026.

BeConfident serves students in over 100 countries and has grown from zero to over 1 million users. The platform offers AI-powered tutors available 24/7 via WhatsApp, providing real-time feedback at significantly lower costs than traditional language courses.
