Ferdinand Friedrich Erich Kohle

Ferdinand Friedrich Erich Kohle is the Founder, CEO, and Inventor of CipherX Technologies, a London-based skin-tech startup pioneering microneedle technology for consumer, cosmetic, and medical applications, including the world's first painless Microdot Tattoo.
Ferdinand holds a PhD in Materials Science from Cornell University, an MA in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art, and a BSc in Computational Chemistry from Heidelberg University.
His motivation for CipherX emerged from personal blood and needle phobias developed across careers spanning design and pharmaceutical industries, driving a deeply human-centered approach to innovation.
Prior to CipherX, Ferdinand served as a Customer Project Manager at Vetter Pharma, supporting Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies in injectable drug product development, and conducted biomedical materials research at Imperial College London.
CipherX raised a Pre-Seed round from investors including Antler and InnovationRCA, and Ferdinand also co-founded BIOQORE, an AI startup building next-generation bioprocess intelligence platforms.
