Fidji Simo

Fidji Simo is Co-Founder of ChronicleBio, a techbio startup on a mission to cure complex chronic conditions by building an AI-ready biological data platform for neuroimmune disorders like POTS, ME/CFS, and Long COVID.
Born in Sete, France, Simo was the first in her family to graduate high school and earned a Master of Management from HEC Paris, completing her final year at UCLA Anderson School of Business.
Simo herself lives with POTS, a chronic neuroimmune condition, fueling her personal conviction that AI and large-scale biological data can unlock cures that traditional research has failed to deliver.
She spent a decade at Meta building Facebook's advertising business and leading the Facebook app, then served as CEO of Instacart, guiding it through a landmark Nasdaq IPO in 2023, before joining OpenAI as CEO of Applications reporting directly to Sam Altman.
ChronicleBio has raised $15M, performed hundreds of blood draws across multiple US states and India in its first year, and is developing what Simo calls the 'internet of biology' to transform chronic disease drug discovery.
