Francisco Puente is Co-Founder and Customer Success lead at wherEX, an AI-powered B2B e-sourcing and supplier engagement platform revolutionizing procurement across Latin America.

Francisco earned his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Civil Engineering from Tecnologico de Monterrey, building over five years of real estate investment and development expertise at MIRA Companies, an affiliate of Black Creek Group.

In 2018, Francisco was selected as a Legatum Fellow at the MIT Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship, joining a cohort committed to building and scaling ventures in the developing world.

Prior to wherEX, Francisco co-founded Bienvendido and Viya, the latter of which was accepted into Y Combinator's W20 batch, demonstrating his track record of building venture-backed startups in LATAM.

wherEX now coordinates over $2B in LATAM B2B e-commerce, connects 200 large enterprise buyers with a network of 60,000 suppliers, and has raised $7M in Series A funding led by Kayyak Ventures.
