Fred Fooks

Fred Fooks is Co-Founder of Dayjob, a Y Combinator-backed company building autonomous AI agents that run transport operations in real time for industrial logistics fleets.
Fred studied Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, where he first met his co-founder George Postlethwaite, and went on to build expertise in AI and Data Science at Deloitte and Capgemini.
Fred brings a rare combination of deep technical engineering and hands-on operational research, having spent early mornings in customer depots watching transport planners work before building a solution from the ground up.
Prior to Dayjob, Fred co-founded Gaea, an ERP and workflow platform for e-waste and battery recyclers, where he served as CTO and Managing Director, scaling the product to 12 site launches and $150K in revenue.
Dayjob has grown to $496K ARR within seven months of launch, with customers achieving 8%+ fleet efficiency gains from day one, and the platform builds a full fleet schedule in roughly 60 seconds versus 90 minutes manually.
