Gabe Dominocielo

Gabe is Co-Founder and President of Umbra, a space technology company operating the world's highest resolution commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite constellation. He is known for his pragmatic, business-first approach to the space industry with an obsession with unit economics.
Before establishing Umbra in 2015, Gabe co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of a legal services firm whose panel attorneys achieved over $1 billion in verdicts and settlements. He pioneered the data-driven approach to selecting and marketing class action lawsuits, a method now standard in the legal industry.
Gabe bootstrapped Umbra with co-founder David Langan for two years before raising capital, allowing them to iterate on designs and maintain significant control. He serves on USGIF's NRO and NGA Working Groups and the Adelle Davis Foundation Board of Directors.
Umbra has raised over $100 million and achieved a $750 million valuation, with investors including Nimble Partners, Star Castle Ventures, and Champion Hill Ventures. The company captures 10 to 15 times more imagery over high-demand areas than competitors.
Umbra produced the highest-resolution commercial satellite image ever released at 16 cm and has released over $4 million of SAR imagery through its Open Data Program. The company operates satellites providing all-weather, day-night imaging for defense, intelligence, and commercial customers worldwide.
