Gao Jiyang is Founder and CEO of Galaxea Dynamics (Galaxea AI), an embodied intelligence robotics company building humanoid robots and AI-driven robotic systems. Born in 1992, he graduated from Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering and earned his Ph.D. in computer vision from the University of Southern California in just three years.

Before founding Galaxea in September 2023, Gao was an Executive Director at Momenta leading autonomous driving teams and worked at Waymo on machine learning-based behavior prediction projects. His experience at both companies gave him deep expertise in full-stack production and delivery of autonomous systems.

Gao was admitted to Tsinghua through a physics competition and brings world-class expertise in perception, manipulation algorithms, and embodied intelligence scaling laws. He co-founded Galaxea with Tsinghua professors Zhao Hang and Xu Huazhe, creating what they call a dual-professor led startup.

Galaxea has raised nearly 3 billion yuan (over 400M USD) in total funding across multiple rounds, achieving a 10 billion yuan valuation by early 2026. The company serves over 40 clients including Huawei Cloud, Volkswagen, Samsung, ByteDance, Physical Intelligence, Stanford, and MIT.

Galaxea has shipped its R1 humanoid robots priced between 44,500 and 64,000 USD, with plans to deliver 1,000 units by end of 2025. The company launched the G0 Plus AI model and is targeting profitability in 2026 with projected tens of millions of yuan in sales.
