George Kitromelides

George Kitromelides is Co-Founder and CEO of Lazarus Energy, a Hawthorne, California-based startup building modular supercritical CO2 turbine generators to deliver clean, dispatchable power for data centers and the modern compute economy.
George studied at the University of Michigan and built deep expertise in turbomachinery and air-breathing propulsion, before joining Anduril Industries where he helped take a turbojet program from prototype to mass production.
Described by colleagues as a technical titan in turbomachinery, George brings a culture of speed and execution from Anduril, believing that the distance between a new design and working hardware should be measured in weeks, not years.
Prior to Lazarus Energy, George honed his engineering and manufacturing skills at Anduril Industries, with the broader team drawing on pedigree from Siemens, Ursa Major, and Williams International.
Lazarus Energy emerged from stealth in 2026 with hardware already designed, parts on order, and a prototype assembly underway, targeting the rapidly growing power demand driven by AI infrastructure.
