George Postlethwaite

George Postlethwaite is Co-Founder of Dayjob, a Y Combinator-backed company building autonomous AI agents that run transport and industrial logistics operations in real time.
George was an early employee at Deliveroo (acquired by DoorDash in 2025), where he launched their UK grocery business, and previously led sales at Otta, a LocalGlobe-backed job search platform.
George and his co-founder Fred Fooks met at Oxford and spent years embedded in waste management depots, riding in trucks and watching planners manually build routes before identifying the AI opportunity.
In 2022, George co-founded Gaea, an ERP for e-waste recyclers, before pivoting to Dayjob in January 2025 after recognising that the core problem was not software UI but the cognitive impossibility of manual scheduling at scale.
Dayjob reached $496K ARR within seven months of launch, with customers achieving 8% or more fleet efficiency gains from day one, 50% improvement in hitting customer time slots, and one customer reporting an £800K revenue uplift in their first year.
