Grant Gunnison

Grant Gunnison is Founder and CEO of Zero Homes, a digital platform transforming home electrification through smartphone-based assessments and virtual design services. Zero Homes raised $16.8M in Series A funding led by Prelude Ventures in February 2026.
Grant earned his M.Eng in Electrical Engineering from MIT (2018-2020) and worked as an engineer at NASA developing CubeSat laser communication terminals. He also ran a general contracting business before founding Zero Homes.
Grant was selected for NREL's inaugural West Gate cohort and won the MassCEC & Greentown Healthy Buildings Challenge. Zero Homes earned ACCA Manual J certification and Department of Energy validation for its remote assessment platform.
Zero Homes operates in Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Illinois, and California, completing 90% of projects without home visits. The platform achieved DOE validation proving smartphone assessments match in-person accuracy.
Zero Homes is on a mission to electrify 50 million homes by eliminating friction in the home upgrade process. The company saves contractors over 3 hours per bid and reduces project planning time by 90%, while making home electrification accessible and affordable for homeowners nationwide.
