Guillaume Bouchard

Guillaume Bouchard is Co-Founder and CEO of Checkstep, a London-based AI-powered Trust and Safety platform helping online platforms detect and moderate harmful user-generated content at scale.
Guillaume holds a PhD in applied mathematics and machine learning from INRIA, France, and spent 12 years as a senior researcher at Xerox Research and UCL, focusing on large-scale predictive models and text understanding.
A prolific researcher and inventor, Guillaume has authored more than 60 international publications and holds more than 50 U.S. patents, cementing his status as a leading authority in applied AI.
Prior to Checkstep, Guillaume founded Bloomsbury AI, which was acquired by Facebook in 2018, after which he served as Manager of Facebook London AI Integrity before launching Checkstep in 2020.
Checkstep has raised $7.4M across three funding rounds backed by Dawn Capital, Form Ventures, and notable tech founders, and is included in the UK Government's Safety Tech Sector Analysis as a key provider of content moderation infrastructure.
