Habib Belaïd

Habib Belaïd is Co-Founder and CEO of KERVALION, a French MedTech deeptech startup pioneering 3D-printed, bio-based bone graft technology for dental and orthopedic surgery.
Habib earned a Bachelor's in Chemistry from the University of Aix-Marseille (2014), a Master's in Materials Science from the University of Toulouse (2016), and a Ph.D. from the University of Montpellier (2019) focused on 3D matrices and injectable cement for treating bone lesions in metastatic cancer patients.
A laureate of the prestigious I-PhD 2021 prize, Habib brings deep scientific expertise rooted in cross-disciplinary research from CNRS, INSERM, CHU de Montpellier, and ENSCM, translating academic breakthroughs into clinical-grade medical devices.
After his Ph.D., Habib completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institut Europeen des Membranes in partnership with Biologics4Life, then co-founded KERVALION and has since led the company through a successful seed fundraise surpassing its target at over 700,000 euros.
KERVALION has filed three patents covering graft composition, geometry, and fixation methods, attracted investment from 12 practicing dental surgeons, and is targeting first market entry in the US in 2028 and Europe in 2029, with a revenue goal of 55 million euros by 2032.
