Hamed Nilforoshan is the Co-Founder and CEO of HiringCafe, an AI-powered agentic job discovery platform on a mission to help every individual achieve economic mobility by surfacing the hidden 80% of the job market.

Hamed graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in Computer Science, then pursued a CS PhD at Stanford University advised by Prof. Jure Leskovec, supported by the prestigious Knight-Hennessy Scholarship and NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

During his PhD, Hamed earned the ICML 2022 Best Paper Award and published research in Nature, developing AI and causal inference methods for healthcare and public policy. He left his PhD program to co-found HiringCafe after seeing the real-world demand for a fairer job search engine.

Prior to founding HiringCafe, Hamed served as a Machine Learning Data Scientist at Airbnb, where he designed production algorithms to combat gun violence, money laundering, and credit card fraud, and also completed a research internship at Snap Inc. focused on graph-based fraud detection.

Without spending a single dollar on marketing, Hamed and co-founder Ali Mir grew HiringCafe to over 2 million monthly active users entirely through word-of-mouth, and the company recently closed a $6.8M pre-seed round led by Spark Capital to expand its AI Talent Agent globally.
