Hana Janebdar

Hana Janebdar is Co-Founder and CEO of Juno Bio, a pioneering femtech company dedicated to closing the gender health gap through precision vaginal microbiome testing and multi-omics.
Hana holds a BSc in Biology from Imperial College London and an MSc in Biochemical Engineering, and previously worked as a biologist researching microbiomes before recognizing a critical gap in women's health research.
Hana filed a patent for microbiome optimization in 2017 and co-founded Juno Bio in 2018 through the Entrepreneur First program, driven by the lack of scientific attention paid to the vaginal microbiome.
Under her leadership, Juno Bio launched the first at-home comprehensive vaginal microbiome test, raised $3.8M from investors including Ada Ventures, Artesian, Illumina Accelerator, and Entrepreneur First, and opened the first CLIA-certified sequencing lab dedicated entirely to women's health in Oakland, California.
Juno Bio has surpassed 20,000 organic test sales, found that 67.5% of customers had been incorrectly diagnosed prior to using the test, and partners with Johns Hopkins medical advisors to advance clinically actionable insights into fertility, menopausal health, and recurrent bacterial vaginosis.
