Hanno is Co-Founder and CEO at Personio, Europe's leading HR software platform serving over 15,000 customers and 1 million employees across small and mid-sized enterprises. Personio has reached an $8.5 billion valuation, making it one of Europe's most valuable private tech companies.

Hanno studied Industrial Engineering and Technology Management at TU Munich and CDTM, with exchange programs at Columbia University and University of Auckland. He financed his studies working as a yacht skipper, sailing the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

Hanno co-founded Personio in 2015 at age 25 with three university friends after learning that SMEs lacked modern HR software solutions. He is also an active angel investor with 28 investments in B2B software and HR tech startups.

Under Hanno's leadership, Personio has raised over $770 million across 8 funding rounds from top investors including Index Ventures, Accel, and Greenoaks. The company grew from 200 euros in the bank account to serving thousands of customers across Europe.
