He Wang

He Wang is Founder and CTO of Galbot, a world-leading embodied AI company developing humanoid robots for industrial, retail, healthcare, and service applications. Wang is also an Assistant Professor at Peking University's Center on Frontiers of Computing Studies and Director of the PKU-Galbot Joint Lab of Embodied AI.
Wang earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2021 under Prof. Leonidas J. Guibas and his bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in 2014. He founded Galbot in May 2023 and has published over 50 papers in top computer vision and robotics conferences.
Wang was named to Fortune China's 40 Under 40 Business Leaders list in 2025 and met with President Xi Jinping in February 2026 for a demonstration of the Galbot G1 robot. His team's embodied intelligence project won the 2025 World Internet Conference Leading Technology Award.
Galbot has raised over 800 million dollars in total funding with a 3 billion dollar valuation as of December 2025, backed by CATL, GGV Capital, and China Development Bank. The company has partnerships with Bosch, Toyota, Hyundai, and Nvidia for industrial robot deployments.
Galbot's G1 robots operate in over 30 cities across China in autonomous retail stores and have achieved stable 24/7 operations in warehouses for over a year. The company has secured orders for thousands of units and pioneered the world's first end-to-end embodied grasping foundation model, GraspVLA, trained on billion-scale synthetic data.
