Dr. Henk Johan Streefkerk is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer at Rivia (rivia.ch), a Zurich-based AI-driven data and analytics platform built to transform clinical trial operations for biotech companies.

A physician scientist holding both MD and PhD degrees from Utrecht University, Henk began his career in ENT surgery and neurovascular surgery before transitioning into pharma, building over 15 years of experience across big pharma and biotech.

Henk has served as CMO at multiple biotechs including PIQUR Therapeutics and Cellprotera, and previously held senior roles at Novartis, Actelion, and Organon, leading safety and clinical development across cardiovascular, oncology, and orphan disease programs.

At Rivia, Henk brings direct clinical trial expertise to the platform's medical oversight capabilities, including establishing ISO 9001 and ISO 27001/GDPR-compliant quality and information security management systems. He has also served as a Guest Lecturer at ETH Zurich and speaks regularly at major drug safety conferences.

Rivia secured a EUR 3 million seed round led by Speedinvest alongside Nina Capital and Amino Collective, and counts Calypso Biotech (acquired by Novartis for $250M) among its earliest clients, validating the platform's real-world impact on biotech success.
