Hojatollah Rezaei Nejad is Co-Founder and CTO at Anodyne Nanotech, a preclinical-stage biotech company pioneering transdermal drug delivery through its macroporous microneedle Hero Patch platform.
Dr. Nejad earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Microfluidics from the University of British Columbia and served as a Pre- and Post-doctoral research fellow at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
A physicist specializing in microscale and nanoscale physics, Dr. Nejad's research led to the discovery of new physics describing the behavior of nano-bubbles and nano-droplets, and he is a winner of the prestigious Friedman Foundation Scholarship in Health Sciences.
Dr. Nejad served as Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tufts University and developed innovative biomedical and lab-on-chip drug delivery and diagnostic devices prior to co-founding Anodyne Nanotech in 2019.
Anodyne Nanotech has raised $9.5M in funding from investors including Velocity Partners, Relativity Healthcare Fund, and Big Pi Ventures, and is advancing its Hero Patch to deliver GLP-1 weight-loss drugs and biologics like monoclonal antibodies without injections.
