Ian Naccarella is Co-Founder and CEO of 83 Sciences (YC S26), an AI-native platform unlocking the vast reserve of unpublished experimental data to accelerate materials discovery and power the next industrial revolution.

Ian holds a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from Stanford and an MBA from Harvard Business School, bringing a rare combination of deep technical and business expertise to deep-tech entrepreneurship.

Ian identified that over 83% of experimental data is discarded, representing more than $100B in lost R&D value annually, and built 83 Sciences to turn that hidden knowledge into scientific and commercial breakthroughs.

Prior to founding 83 Sciences, Ian served as a strategy manager at Sila Nanotechnologies (a battery materials unicorn), a consultant at Boston Consulting Group, and a fellow at MIT focused on commercializing IP out of the ecosystem.
