Ines Boutemadja

Ines Boutemadja is Co-Founder and CEO of Klaimee (YC P26), a San Francisco-based insurtech startup building the first liability insurance and certification infrastructure for autonomous AI agents.
Ines is an Algerian-born founder who studied at the University of Southern California and previously served as General Manager of Nomad Insurance at SafetyWing (YC W18), where she scaled the insurance product from $5M to $60M in revenue over five years.
A historic trailblazer, Ines became the first Algerian woman ever accepted into Y Combinator, and is only the third founder of Algerian heritage to pass through the program.
At SafetyWing, she structured a Tokio Marine MGA and secured a Puerto Rico carrier license, building deep expertise in launching insurance products from scratch before founding Klaimee with her co-founder and husband Julien Catonnet in March 2026.
Klaimee addresses a critical and growing market gap as AI-related lawsuits surged 137% between 2024 and 2025, with major insurers actively excluding AI liability from standard commercial policies, leaving every agent-deploying company exposed.
