Jérémy Bercoff

Jerémy Bercoff is Co-Founder and CEO of SonoMind, a Paris-based medtech company pioneering non-invasive, personalized ultrasound-based brain stimulation to treat drug-resistant depression and neuropsychiatric disorders. He is a French physicist and inventor with over 25 years of experience transforming ultrasound research into clinical innovations and commercial successes.
Jerémy earned his PhD in Physics from Université Paris VII (ESPCI ParisTech) in 2004 under renowned physicist Mathias Fink, and previously worked as an R&D engineer at Philips Medical Systems. He co-founded SuperSonic Imagine in 2005, where he led the development of the groundbreaking ShearWave Elastography technology.
Jerémy has authored over 35 scientific papers and holds 8 patents in the medical imaging field, cementing his reputation as a leading innovator in ultrasound technology. In December 2025, he was awarded the prestigious Prix Marcel Dassault for innovation in mental illness by the FondaMental Foundation and Groupe Dassault.
Prior to SonoMind, Jerémy served as VP at Microport CRM (cardiac implants) and CTO at SuperSonic Imagine, and co-founded ventures including E-sonic, Austral Dx, and SuperSonic Imagine. His career spans R&D, product leadership, and serial entrepreneurship across the global medtech sector.
SonoMind has raised $23.5M (EUR 20M) in a Series A round led by Critical Path Ventures and Bpifrance, and targets the 330 million people worldwide living with depression, of whom 1 in 3 do not respond to existing treatments. The company aims to bring its focused ultrasound therapy to market by 2028.
