Jack Grodnick

Jack Grodnick is Co-Founder of Control Seat, a Y Combinator-backed AI-native industrial systems integrator building modern SCADA and control software to replace legacy infrastructure in large-scale industrial operations.
Jack is a Dartmouth College student majoring in CS and Economics (Class of 2026), currently on leave to build Control Seat full time alongside co-founder Warren Shepard.
During his time at Dartmouth, Jack completed internships at Tesla, Amazon, and SpaceX, where he experienced firsthand the outdated state of industrial control software and identified the opportunity to modernize it.
Control Seat was accepted into Y Combinator's highly competitive Summer 2026 batch, which accepts roughly 2 percent of applicants and invests $500,000 per startup, validating the team's vision for AI-driven industrial automation.
Control Seat's platform unifies PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, networking, historians, and analytics into one modern system, leveraging AI to deploy industrial control projects at 10x the speed and significantly lower cost than traditional integrators.
