Jack Weston

Jack Weston is Co-Founder and CTO at Novoic, a London-based digital biotech company using machine learning to detect brain disease from speech decades before usual diagnosis.
Jack holds a Master of Physics from Oxford (1st class) and a PhD in Particle Physics with a focus on Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning from Cambridge. He previously worked at JP Morgan in investment banking and participated in Entrepreneur First's LD12 cohort.
Jack combines expertise in physics, machine learning, and startup leadership with hands-on product vision to translate complex research into scalable clinical AI tools. He is active on GitHub with multiple open-source contributions in particle physics and machine learning.
Novoic raised 2 million pounds in seed funding from leading investors including Anthemis Exponential Ventures, APEX Digital Health, Entrepreneur First, and Plug and Play Ventures. The company received a six-figure grant from the NHS AI in Health and Care Award, becoming the first and only speech diagnostics company to receive this recognition.
Novoic is working with the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation's Diagnostic Accelerator (supported by Gates Ventures) and leading clinical research institutions in the UK to develop the first clinically viable speech-based algorithms as software-as-medical-device.
