Jackie von Salm

Dr. Jackie von Salm is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Psilera Inc., a scientist-led biopharmaceutical company pioneering non-hallucinogenic neuroplastogen therapies for hard-to-treat neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Jackie earned her B.A. and Ph.D. in Natural Products Chemistry from the University of South Florida, where her doctoral research focused on isolating bioactive terpenes from Antarctic marine corals, and she went on to serve as Director of R&D at medical cannabis firm AltMed and as a Formulation Scientist at CoreRx.
A passionate advocate for emotionally intelligent science, Jackie holds multiple patents and has received honors including the ElSohly Award from ACS, the Cosmic Sister Emerging Voices Award, an Antarctica Service Medal from the U.S. Department of Defense, and was ACS Most Read Author in 2016 for her discovery of Darwinolide.
Prior to Psilera, Jackie and co-founder Chris Witowski leveraged deep expertise in cannabis and natural products chemistry, and together they have built Psilera's proprietary Third Eye computational drug discovery platform and secured DEA approval for psychedelic compound research.
Psilera has raised over $13.3M across equity and grant sources, filed 13+ patents covering over 1 million novel compounds, and was one of only two psychedelics companies invited to the prestigious JPMorgan Health Care Conference in 2023.
